    • Vehicle Condition Inspection: Visually inspect steering and suspension systems. Inspect exhaust system. Check belts and hoses. Check all fluid levels and condition. Check all external lighting. Check charging and starting systems. Check brakes at all 4 wheels. Check for fault codes. Check for service bullitens and recall notices. Road test vehicle. Check for services due for mileage interval. Consult with customer on recomended services/repairs.
    • Removed batteries and charged.
    • Suctioned fuel out of tank at fill neck. Disconnected hard line from top of tank and drained fuel in lines. Added howes fuel treatment and added client supplied 10 gallons plus shop supplied 10 gallons.
    • Removed right front inner fender liner, drained and removed fuel filter. Transfer WIF sensor to new fuel filter, installed filter and cleaned area. Reinstalled fender liner and primed filter. Road tested.

    • Diesel electronic engine control system performance tests: Check for stored fault codes. Monitor data stream parameters. Check fuel supply and delivery systems. Check glow plug/intake heater system as equipped. Perform pinpoint tests for listed fault codes. Code P0673 preset for glow plug #3 failure. Resistance values on the other seven were weak. Recommend replacement of all.
    • Removed drivers and passengers side inner fenders. Remove wiring harness and from glow plugs and remove plugs from the heads. Install new Delco ( OEM ) glow plugs and reassemble. Clear the code and test for proper operation

    • Inspected power steering system, no leaks found. Inspected further, found transmission cooler (in front of radiator) damaged by possible rock and has severe leak. REcommend replacing transmission cooler.
    • Unplug water in fuel sensor and remove existing fuel filter from vehicle. Transfer water in fuel sensor to the new filter and install in vehicle. Prime the system and restart vehicle checking for leaks
    • Removed upper air dam on cowl and lower splash shield. Removed and replaced transmission oil cooler. Cleaned area and topped off fluids. Road tested.

    • Change engine oil and filter. Lube chassis. Visually inspect steering, suspension, exhaust, brakes and cooling systems. Check all fluid levels and add as necessary. Inspect condition of drive belts and hoses. Check all exterior lighting. Reset maintenance reminder if applicable.
    • Drain fluid and remove pan. Inspect for debris and clean pan. Change internal filter and reinstall pan. Change external filter. Refill unit with new fluid. Road test and check for leaks.
    • Drain transfer case and inspect for debris, refill with new fluid. Check linkage adjustment and for proper transfer case operation.

    • Inspection found pitman arm and idler arm have moderate/ plus play. Recommend replacing both pitman and idler arm and completing a front end alignment.
    • Unbolted steering gear box from frame and unbolted steering linkage to gear box. Removed and replaced pitman arm. Re installed gear box and all removed parts. Greased all grease zerks. Sent for alignment. Road tested.
    • Removed and replaced idler arm.
    • Completed front end alignment Inv # 13556
    • Inspection found oil pressure sensor has a moderate leak. Recommend replacing to resolve leak.
    • Cleaned area of signs of leak. Removed and replaced oil pressure sensor.
    • Cleaned signs of oil leaks, road tested and rechecked for leaks. Inspection found oil pan gasket has moderate leak, recommend resealing oil pan.
    • Removed lower cross member, right inner fender well and cleaned oil leak from exterior of oil pan. Removed lower oil pan, cleaned pan and mounting surfaces. Re installed lower oil pan with sealant, allowed to dry overnight. Re installed all removed parts. Removed and replaced oil filter and added new oil to recommended levels. Road tested and verified no leaks.

    • DEF Fluid quality message was present but no active codes in system. No history or freeze frame data to coincide with the warning message. Took a DEF fluid sample form the injector and volume/quality was right in spec. Used scan tool to activate pump / sensors and triggered a static regen. Truck completed regen and warning message has disappeared. Truck currently operating as designed. If a re occurrence happens, it may be prudent to start with software updates thru GM.
    • If we get time truck needs LOF.
    • Change engine oil and filter. Lube chassis. Visually inspect steering, suspension, exhaust, brakes and cooling systems. Check all fluid levels and add as necessary. Inspect condition of drive belts and hoses. Check all exterior lighting. Reset maintenance reminder if applicable.
